Addressing Orthodontic Issues With ClearCorrect

0

ClearCorrect Invisible Braces to Fix Orthodontic IssuesOf course everyone would ideally like perfectly straight teeth for cosmetic reasons, however having a straight smile is actually better for you. This is why treating bite problems is so important.

There are a variety of conditions that require orthodontic procedures to correct them, such as:

  • Crowded Teeth
  • Crooked Teeth
  • Too Much Space Between Teeth
  • Overbite, Underbite and Overjet
  • Openbite

The cause of orthodontic problems is largely caused by heredity and bad habits, like thumb-sucking or tongue thrusting. When you have a bite issue, not only does it affect your appearance (and self-esteem), but it can also lead to other problems. For example, crowded teeth may be harder to clean leading to more cavities and periodontal issues. It may also be difficult to chew, teeth may be more likely to chip, along with jaw and misalignment, which can be caused by grinding or clenching of your teeth. All of the above secondary issues caused by orthodontic problems can result in costly restorations down the road.

What can be done NOW to prevent these issues? ClearCorrect invisible braces! ClearCorrect invisible braces straighten your teeth with a series of clear, custom-made aligners that show your smile, so most people won’t even know you are wearing them.

For February and March 2015 ONLY we are offering a 10% courtesy on all ClearCorrect cases.

Achieve Your Dream Smile With Cosmetic Porcelain Veneers

Younger Looking Smile, Omaha Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Bolding

Younger Looking Smile, Omaha Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. BoldingYour teeth’s enamel allows light to pass through in much the same way that glass does. This is why healthy tooth enamel has such a beautiful luster. Cosmetic porcelain veneers are crafted from porcelain, allowing for the same kind of luminous appearance. Despite being translucent, porcelain veneers can add strength to your enamel, brighten your smile several shades and mask flaws or damage.

Cosmetic veneers can help you achieve your dream smile if…

You are unhappy with the shade or uneven color or mottled appearance of your natural enamel.

  • Porcelain veneers MASK the cumulative staining effect from coffee, tea, colas and tobacco products.

You are unhappy with the shape and proportion of your teeth.

  • Porcelain veneers ENHANCE the appearance of your smile by acquiring more balanced proportions, disguising gaps and spaces, and covering chipped, broken or malformed teeth.

You are unhappy with the misaligned appearance of your teeth, but don’t want to wear braces.

  • Porcelain veneers IDEALIZE the appearance of slightly rotated, tipped or misaligned teeth by using veneers as instant orthodontics.

Find Your Inner Balance :: Importance of Oral Health Care

Oral Health Care Balance - Dr. Bolding Cosmetic Dentist - Omaha, Nebraska

Oral Health Care Balance - Dr. Bolding Cosmetic Dentist - Omaha, NebraskaWe have all heard time and time again the importance of finding a life balance. One that balances work with pleasure and is mindful of nutrition and a healthy diet. This is the macro level inner balance. At the micro level, small imbalances in the pH of your blood can create changes in the pH level of your saliva, altering your mouth’s environment. In other words, your oral health care can impact and be impacted by your overall health. Here’s how…

Plague ::

Is the thin film on your teeth, is a biofilm and bacterial ecosystem within the larger bionetwork of your mouth and body. If the scales tip so that good bacteria are overtaken by those that are harmful, red swollen gums that bleed easily, gum and bone recession and tooth loss can occur.

Tartar ::

Is the conspicuous, cement like substance that plaque hardens into if you would allow it to build up. Tartar can break the natural protective seal that your gums provide, allowing oral bacteria into your bloodstream. Toxic bacteria from your gum infection can trigger your immune system and wear it down.

Gum Disease ::

Has been linked to systemic and inflammatory diseases including heart and stroke, osteoarthritis, diabetes, cancers and lung diseases.

Micro level balance is directly impacted by your overall macro level balance. Find the balance by maintaining a healthy lifestyle coupled with a solid oral health care routine!

The Perfect Tooth Replacement… Implants

Zuerlein Dental, Implant Dentistry, Missing Lateral Incisors Replaced With Implants
Before : Missing Lateral Incisors | After : Implants and Crowns

Implants are a good solution to tooth loss because they look and feel like natural teeth.

What are implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are surgically anchored into the jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge in place. A major benefit of implants is they don’t rely on neighboring teeth for support and they are permanent and stable.

What implants made of?

Most implants are made of titanium, which bonds well with bone and is biocompatible, making it ideal for implant material.

Dental Implant - Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Full Mouth Rehabilitation - Dr. Jared Bolding - Omaha, Nebraska
Dental Implant

How implants are placed?

First, Dr. Bolding will perform surgery to place the implant’s anchor in the jaw. Once the implant is stable and the gums have healed, he makes the artificial teeth and fits them to the post portion of the anchor. He will work with you to create an implant that fits well and is comfortable yet attractive.

Who should consider getting implants?

Implants are not an option for everyone, because they require surgery and patients must be in good health, have healthy gums and have enough bone structure to support the implants. People who are unable to wear dentures may also be good candidates.

What is the difference between implants and dentures?

The main difference between implants and dentures is that implants are permanently placed in the mouth and dentures are removable. Another big difference is that implants provide much more stability than dentures because they are solidly fixed into place.

How to care for implants?

Poor oral hygiene is the main cause of implant failure. It is important to floss and brush around implants at least twice a day. We will give you specific instructions on how to best care for your implants.

How Acid Reflux Can Affect Your Teeth: What Omaha Families Need to Know

How Acid Reflux Can Affect Your Teeth: What Omaha Families Need to Know

Acid Reflux Causes Tooth Erosion - Dr. Bolding Omaha Cosmetic DentistAcid reflux, also known as GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), occurs when acidic stomach fluids flow back into the throat and mouth, leading to a bitter taste and a burning sensation. For many individuals, acid reflux can become a daily issue that requires medical attention, lifestyle adjustments, or even surgery.

What you may not realize is how acid reflux can impact your dental health. When stomach acid frequently comes into contact with your teeth, it can lead to enamel erosion. Over time, this erosion can cause tooth sensitivity, notches along the sides of the teeth, worn-down enamel, and even yellowing of the teeth.

As your trusted Omaha family dentist, we can detect early signs of enamel erosion during regular checkups—damage that you might not notice yourself. While we offer a variety of restorative treatments to repair this damage, the best defense is prevention. If you’re experiencing symptoms of acid reflux, it’s essential to consult your doctor and let us know during your next dental visit. Together, we can develop a plan to protect your teeth and keep your smile healthy.

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 3 cups water
  • salt to taste
  • 2 cups diced cucumber
  • 1 small red onion, finely minced (optional)
  • 2 cups finely diced tomatoes
  • 1 to 2 jalapeno or serrano peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, plus sprigs for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Drain off the water in the pan through a strainer, and return the quinoa to the pain. Cover the pan with a clean dishtowel, replace the lid and allow to sit for 10 minutes. If making for the freezer, uncover and allow to cool, then place in plastic bags. Flatten the bags and seal.

If using the onion, place in a bowl and cover with cold water. Let sit for 5 minutes, then drain, rinse with cold water and drain on paper towels.

3) Combine the tomatoes, chiles, cilantro, vinegar, lime juice and olive oil in a bowl. Add the cucumber and onion, season to taste with salt, add the quinoa and cilantro. Toss together and taste and adjust seasonings. Serve garnish with sliced avocado and cilantro.

Invisalign Difference Vs Regular Braces - Dr. Jared Bolding Omaha Cosmetic Dentist

Invisalign straightens your teeth with a series of clear, practically invisible custom-molded aligners.

Invisalign technology lets you have the smile you’ve always wanted without the hassle of braces.

The clear alternative to metal braces.

By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth quickly and effectively. The treatment course involves changing aligners every two weeks (give or take), moving your teeth into a straighter position. Unlike braces, these aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth.

Less treatment time.

The average course of treatment using Invisalign is six months to one year. You will visit our office every six to eight weeks for adjustments and to check progress. You will receive a new set of custom-molded aligners to continue the straightening process. The actual total number of aligners is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the course of treatment determined.

Clear and comfortable.

Very few people will actually notice you are wearing Invisalign since it is practically invisible. They are comfortable to wear and easy to remove.
